============================
Shapely Windows

There are eight hacks in this chapter.
The files and directories are:

* UsualWin.java   // a simple GUI application

* compile.bat, run.bat
     // batch files for compiling and running (most of) the examples;
     // they utilize J/Invoke (see below)

Hack 10.1: TranslucentWin.java
Hack 10.2: ShapedWin.java
Hack 10.3: ShapedResizeWin.java
Hack 10.4: ShapedJFrame/
Hack 10.5: BlobJFrame/
Hack 10.6: PPTrans/
Hack 10.7: CloseFadeWin.java, CloseCutWin.java
Hack 10.8: LAFWin/

------
Consumer JRE Versions

Several of the Hacks (10.1, 10.2, and 10.6) also have versions
implemented using the Consumer JRE. Look at the readme.txt file
in ConsumerJRE/ for more information.

------
Compilation and Execution
=========================

> javac UsualWin.java
> java UsualWin

Hack 10.1: TranslucentWin.java
> compile TranslucentWin.java
> run TranslucentWin [ < translucency value 1-255 > ]
e.g.
> run TranslucentWin 128

(Note: the Consumer JRE version is in ConsumerJRE/TranslucentWindow.java)

Hack 10.2: ShapedWin.java
> compile ShapedWin.java
> run ShapedWin [ < shape no. 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 > ]
e.g.
> run ShapedWin 3

(Note: the Consumer JRE version is in ConsumerJRE/ShapedWindow.java)

Hack 10.3: ShapedResizeWin.java
> compile ShapedResizeWin.java
> run ShapedResizeWin

Hack 10.4: ShapedJFrame/
  - see readme.txt in the subdirectory

Hack 10.5: BlobJFrame/
  - see readme.txt in the subdirectory

Hack 10.6: PPTrans/
  - see readme.txt in the subdirectory
(Note: the Consumer JRE version is in ConsumerJRE/PPTransN/)

Hack 10.7: CloseFadeWin.java, CloseCutWin.java
> compile CloseFadeWin.java
> run CloseFadeWin

> compile CloseCutWin.java
> run CloseCutWin

Hack 10.8: LAFWin/
  - see readme.txt in the subdirectory

-------
J/Invoke

A 30-day evaluation version of J/Invoke can be downloaded from
http://www.jinvoke.com/download. Unzip it and store in a directory.

The batch files in this directory (compile.bat and run.bat) assume
that jinvoke.jar is located in d:\jinvoke\
